I think that Roussos was not refining the pencilling as much as he might have, but I don't think that he was making it cruder (as did Coletta). If one looks at the results of Roussos's inking of other artists in that same general interval, the results are significantly more polished.Daniel [oeconomist.com]https://www.blogger.com/profile/06763094285750736837noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-25254614.post-52324730012390062862011-09-25T13:52:20.937-07:002011-09-25T13:52:20.937-07:00Have you een the stuff he did for GE? But you are right, this story seems different somehow.Ger Apeldoornhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03633862833036214748noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-25254614.post-19012478730846562052011-09-25T09:53:37.313-07:002011-09-25T09:53:37.313-07:00I wonder if this story is really drawn by Meskin--...I wonder if this story is really drawn by Meskin--the artwork has the crudeness and sloppiness of his partner, George Roussos. Roussos' drawing abilities really slipped in the late 1940s. His work for EC and elsewhere, in the 1950s, is really poor in my opinion. Ditto for his brutal inking of Jack Kirby (as "George Bell") for '60s Marvel.Frank M. Younghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04673579882180372546noreply@blogger.com
