I have an old Tom Corbett juvenile hardback book from my childhood — about the same size and what-not as the Hardy Boys books were.
Tom Corbett was a widely exploited property. There was a radio show and there also was a comic book version from Dell, which had nothing to do with this newspaper strip. Infact you have given me an idea for tomorrow's post.
By the way, the Dell Tom Corbett sample you ran was drawn by John (aka Jack) Lehti, a hack artist who also worked on newspaper strips. Some later issues were drawn by Alden McWilliams, and they were beautiful.
