I really appreciate your posting these strips. Superb artwork by Bailey and a reasonably interesting story.
Seeing so many Bruce Gentry strips together, I'm struck by how generic is the lead character's design. I remember Caniff talking about the lengths to which he went to ensure that Steve Canyon was recognizable (and trademarkable). It's the one place Bailey falls short. Gentry is a standard Ray Bailey handsome guy. A couple of times I wouldn't have recognized him if the text hadn't tipped me off.

Yeah, the most memorable guy is the one with the black glasses.
