Calling Major Mars

Wednesday Ad Strip Day.

At the start op the fifties there was a sudden and real rise of juvenile science fiction. Several comic strips were the result of that. http://nedor-a-day.blogspot.com/ shows a strip called Major Mars from the forties today. Can anyone tell me if that is the same Marjoor Mars as seen in this ad?

    No, it's not the same space hero.
    Major mars from Exciting comics #1 is a one shot strip. Never seen again.
    In 1953, Major Mars advertises only for Popsicle. Five strips can be seen.
