Later on in his two year run of PopJac, Jacovitti began more and more to cocentrate on his everyman figure of Giuseppe. Some of these were silent gags. He later developed this into a daily newspaper feature, which he did for about a year.

The few words there are speak for themselves:

Even though Jacovitti's use of color was as unpridictable as his humor, sometimes he would go overboard in his use of uniform colors. The original version of this page had six panels that were all done in one color, even covering the balloons. One panel was left all black and white. That's why I chose to recolor this one using Jacovitti's own color schemes. I coul never do it as well as he does, but I felt the original coloring made it look too cheap.
