Monday Cartoon Day.
Barney Tobey was a solid mid range cartoonist, who did a lot of work for Collier's and The Saturday Evening Post and magazines like that. When those markets dried up, he did not turn to girly cartoons like many of his peers. Fortunately, he was able to stay selling his dry humor to the New Yorker and became one of their most familiar contributors.
