Having shared some of George Crenshaws Muffins cartoons, I thought I'd share a couple of his older cartoons, three of which I have already used in an earlier presentation. These are all from the early fifties. Unfortunately I cut of part of the text of the first one. It seems to say: "I'm going to be working late agian tonight, honey." But what's the joke in that?

I think it is about the businessman with a young and sexy secretary and a very un-sexy wife (no high heels, no lipstick, no boobs…). Once the joke must have been fresh...
Yeah, Evert. I was looking for some sort of twist. But it doesn't seem to be there.
