Thursday Story Strip Day.
Last week I showed some Dan Flagg Sundays, which were probably hosted by Alden McWilliams. At some point he was also doing the Sam JOnes diver strip as well. After that he was allowed to apply his talents to a soap opera strip of his own, Dateline Danger. Predating the television series Lou Grant by seven years, showing that the 'newspaper journalists as heroes' meme was around long before that groundbreaking tv-series. More samples if you follow the link.

Noted in Maurice Horn's entry on this interesting late 60's to early-mid 70's strip in "100 years of American Newspaper Comics", and further to your notation in the April 23, 2015 edition of this blog about its "multicolored cast years before" Friday Foster, in being as MH says about a "racially integrated two-man team working for U.S. Intelligence", it would appear to have been based on the mid-1960's American TV series "I Spy", which now seems somewhat infamous because of one of its co-stars, Bill Cosby. As you are probably aware, this strip appeared in the Menomonee Falls Gazette.
Good points.
