Here's a strip I do not know a lot a bout. I know it was a local strip and it concerned sports. I think it may have been made for the sports page and it appeared in the fifties. The ever reliable Stripper's Guide by Alan Holtz mentions it sideways, in a short piece about another local assignment by the artist Knut Carlson: http://strippersguide.blogspot.nl/search?q=kurt+carlson. That mentiones The Minneapolis tribune, which makes it logical this strip would have appeared there too. I am surer ALan's Guide to American Comics will have all the publication details. I aquired it because I liked the way it looked. Carlson clearly was a competent artist and a pretty good comic storyteller.
