A couple of years ago I shared a longer run of Chris Winterbottom and Art Sansom's Chris Welkin Planeteer dailies with the mention that the whole early fifties daily run can be seen on ilovecomics. After the dailies, Sansom continued the strip as a Sunday only which ran until April 1965, which is about the point that the artist started his new funny comic The Born Loser, which brought him the succes he deserved. Although Chris Welkin was drawn in a completely different and realistic style, towards the end a stylization creeped into it that forshadowed his later cartoon style. I have a couple of those later years here, including what I believe to be the last Sunday. With that some of the earliest Born Losers.

The artist of Chris Welkin was Leonard Sansone and not Art Sansom. A mistake I picked up from other sources on the internet.
