Martian Law

 Sunday Al WIlliamson Day.

Another Al Williamson story. Or at least, it is noted as being by him. Yet it is not signed and it looks less like his proper style than the ones before this and in the weeks after this. Still, I have no other suggestions and there is enough of his characteristics to make it possible.

All the men's faces say Ralph Mayo to me. This is especially clear on page 2. Note also the partly-delineated upper lip, a Mayo trademark.

Back in the fifties I recall telling Larry Ivie that I thought that Williamson was doing some work on the Dell title LASSIE. Larry explained to me that Ralph Mayo was one of the artists on LASSIE and that he often worked with Williamson who was a great admirer of the man and his work. I seem to recall that Mayo had some health issues and Williamson tried to throw him as much work as he could handle.
