Tuesday Comic Strip Day
I renewed my subscription at Newspaper Archie to find you some more comic striprarities, but especially to look for more samples of Al Jaffee's excellent Tall Tales. Although I have not yet been able to find any dailies (I qouls love to see some of the later ones where he was forced to use text, as he says in his introduction to the recent collection), here are some Sundays from the later period. Unfortunately, they are in black and white and without the lovely topper by earlier samples had. These are from 1963 and 1964 and as you can see, he was not strictly doing the tall format anymore by that time.
