Rather a fast job, but still nice work from Meskin. I miss the days when one could make a concept futuristic by sticking "space" onto the front. Space-goofy, space wrecker, spaceball...

Big Smurf,

I am a big fan of this strip and this genre and will come back to it from time to time. I have more of Ray Bailey's comic strip version (which I think would be an excellent candidate for a comple reprint series), but there is also Norman Maurer's Rocky X (which you can find at several places on the web) and more.

By the way, do you read Cebutus in French or Dutch?

That should be Cubitus, of course. I used to read this in Dutch when I was a kid.

I first saw Cubitus in French when I was in college, and read many episodes (not very well, either!) My favorite story was Alerte au Pedalosaure, which I used to read to my kids (in English)when they were tots.

I really appreciate your posting the Tom Corbett strips. Like you, I enjoy 1950s space comics and shows. When I was quite young I read the series of Tom Corbett novels (illustrated by comic artist/illustrator Lou Glanzman).

I own a tape of one episode of the TV show, and I'll tell you...the budget on the comics was much larger!
