Bud Blake did a daily cartoon series for eleven years before finding fame with his kid' strip Tiger. He worked in the tradition of slightly sarcastic, gentle cartoons that was around for a couple of decades, but he added his own 'modern' style and a lot more of the anger that typifies his whole generation.
