More Wacky Jacky

Wednesday Ads and Illustration Day

Here is some additional material relation to Jack Mendelsohn. I should have scanned some stuff from his pre-Mad magazine days, but life took over. I will add that as soon as possible. In the meantime, enjoy these two links... one to a Hogan's Alley interview with Mendelsoh and the second to a Paramount movie version of Jacky' Diary. The interview was easy, but I am not good at embedding yuo tube video's. But I am sure you guys know how to copy and paste.

Might help some readers of your blog if the links were actually links.

At the very least, people, just copy and paste the URLs you see.

Cheers!

Love Jack Mendelsohn. I've interviewed him a couple of times recently trying to dig deeper into what else he did at Dell besides JACKY'S DIARY and MISS PEACH.

Thanks for posting these. great old lost comics.

If you have acces to him, please contact me privately at geapelde@eurone.com. I would love to talk to him about his work for Mad imitator Lunatickle and others. I will show his work for Lunatickle here soon, as well of some of his earliest Mad-like articles for 1000 Jokes in the mid forties!

Looks as if Jm worked on many of the Four Colors in the '50s while at Dell. You can peruse a good index of his work yourself at:
