Whatever the influence of these stories was on the work of Jack Kirby at Marvel, it is obvious Stan Lee pinched the I Verbed The Noun... style of story titles (and subjects), which Jack Schiff had taken from the than popular Men's magazines.

Clearly, there's a need to address the anthologies of the 50s and early 60s -- Houses of Mystery and Secrets, My Greatest Adventures, Unexpected. If the stories were generally typically flaccid pap, the art roster was more than solid. I bet they're a treasure mine of great work.
