This provides interesting input on your question of how much writing Jack Kirby did on these stories. This story is so completely "DC-style" from beginning to end: one scene per panel, each scene explained by a long caption, a simple and rather obvious "bad-guy-gets-his" theme...and particularly the way it downplays action in favor of moving the plot forward. Almost the opposite of the typical Lee-Kirby monster epic.
Where the heck do these Chinese proverb postings come from? Is there some sort of spam generator that sends words of wisdom to the far corners of the world? I've been getting a lot of them on a couple of my blog postings.
To quote Zaphod Beeblebrox, I need aphorisms like I need holes in my heads.
I don't know where those Chinese characters come from. But now they are gone. As am I . I am not here. I am on holiday. I am not checking my posts daily.
I am a Dutch television writer, who has written about comics and television for a number of publications here in Holland and in the US. I love hearing from (forgotten) artists and/or their relatives, so if you are one of those and happen upon this blog, please leave a note.

At least, that's the plan.
