Wednesday Advertising Day.
Here is one of the more interesting ad strip series of the late forties. I don't know who the artist is, which is why I have not paid attention to it before. I don't even know it is done by a comic artist, or by an illustration artist slumming. As per usual the quality of the art is high. All my samples are from NewspaperArchive, but I have also included a color scan from my own from a much earlier incarnation of the series. The older sample is even more impressive. Many of the newspaper strips surrounding this ad, were not of this quality.
