Look at All the Pretty Lines...

Friday Comic Book Day.

In the late fifties and early sixties Al Williamson was doing a lot of work for small and obscure publishers, such as these three short stories for Harvey's last hero gasp Alarming Adventures #1/3. Though rarely seen, they are as beautiful as anything he ever did. The first two are supposedly pencilled by Reed Crandell an inked by Williamson and I can see that. The third one is pencilled by Williamson and inked by Angelo Torres and the use of inset panels does indeed as if Williamson did this story himelf.

Pure joy for my eyes.

Pappy might appreciate your input at his entry on “My Little Gypsy Sweetheart” from Lovelorn #8 (ACG, 1950). I know that I would, even if you should contradict my assertion.
