Wednesday Illustration Day.
I was contacted by the daughter of Jack Betts, whose work I have shown here from time to time. This prompted me to have a look what else I could find and I came across this illustrated story. It is part of a longer running collaboration between King Features and the Book-of-the-Month Club, which condensed and illustrated some of 'their' books. Other artists of interest include Creig Flessel, Frank Godwin and James Montgommary Flagg, al with only one or two stories between loads of others by astists who are less well known to me.
