Do you suppose this may have been inked by Dan's brother Sy? I've read that they collaborated on some DC strips. The "Giella-esque" inking here resembles Sy's work over other artists.
These Barry Vigilante stories are pure gold. It's easy to see how Barry was chosen as the model for the DC house style. Too bad he's been ignored by modern DC historians. Knowing that Barry was also as writer, I wonder if the episodes signed "by Dan Barry" were written by him.
Thanks for posting these gems. They're all new to me.
I am a Dutch television writer, who has written about comics and television for a number of publications here in Holland and in the US. I love hearing from (forgotten) artists and/or their relatives, so if you are one of those and happen upon this blog, please leave a note.
