You know what? I now see that the figures in the second story bear a remarkable resembalnce to the figures in the funny animal stories that I found alongside Irv Spector and Harvey Kurtzman's work in Stan Lee's 1945/6 funny animal books! Is that Chad Grothkopf or is that mystery artist turning up here as well? There does seem to be a slight difference in the figures between the first and second story here...
