Meskin Sunday Measures.
The last stories Mort Meskin did for Standard (in this period) were done solo and signed Meskin and Mort. The first one looks a bit like some of his earlier work. The second one looks darker and it seems to me George Roussos was involved. I see it in some of the faces and also because Roussos had the unfortunate habit of not only using a lot of shadows (Meskin did that as well) but also sometimes blending them together, creating unatrcitive and hard to read black blobs in the artwork.
