That Yabbadabbadoes It For Me

Tuesday Comic Stip Day.

Even though it was basicly produced by the same team of eriters and artists, Yogi Bear Sunday strips get more 'traffic' here than the Sundays (and dailies) of the Flintstones. Maybe it's nostalgia (because I did see the Fltintones as a kid and not Yogi), ut I like the cavemen family better. For one, I find the jokes funnier and the cartooning seems more purposeful. In the early years at least, but then they both dropped in quality towars the end of the sixties.

Thanks, Ger.

Just love these Flintstones strips. Gene Hazelton is one of my all-time favorite funny artists. All the dailies you show here were written and penciled by him, whereas the Sundays were penciled by Dick Bickenbach. The late Joe Messerli inked and lettered.

More of these! And what about a selection of Ralph Heimdahl's Bugs Bunny strips?

Best,
Alberto

Alberto - I had originally intended to do a post with fresh color scans, but they are still waiting to be finished. I'll do them soon. Unfortunately I have never understood the attraction of Heimdahl's Bugs Bunny, so although I have many samles (even from the forties) I never even scanned them...
