A Picture Funny As Words

Saturday Leftover Day.

Roger Price was a fifties humorist whose biggest claim to faim were the Droodles he did for the syndicated feature shown here, as well as doing tlevision appearances and funny books. He aslo contributed to Mad and wrote some of the forwords to the first Mad pockets, cementing his name into the brains of a whole generation who may or may have not known why he was chosen to do so in the first place. So now you can see for yourself.

I remember those Price intros in the Mad paperbacks, so reading these Droodles was enjoyable. Great stuff!

I used to love Price's Droodles in our local paper, but oddly I remember only the pictures, not the long text descriptions. Kids today, they never read anything.
