Cooke Book

Friday Comic Book Day.

After yesterday's Drift Marlo, I got a request to show some of the Dell comic version Cooke did hmself. I took this from the Crime & Punishment blog where you can find more of these heroic goodies. There I also read that the writer of this comic is a Phil Evans, who also wrote the newspaper version (which, by the way ran until 1971, it seems).

I had scheduled to run some Drift Marlo newspaper strips on Crime & Punishment in July (to coincide with the anniversary of Apollo 11) but you beat me to it!
Curses!
Now I'll just have to run Dell's issue #2 instead!
Thanks for the plug, BTW. ;-)

Well, I'd love to see some of the later ones... interesting to see it ran as much as five years longer than my latest sample. I am also looking for some of Tom Cooke's work for Atlas. I know I have them somewhere. And I wouln't be surprised if he did incidental stories for The Twilight Zone of Boris Karloff.
