Monday Cartoon Day.
Gregory d'Alessio was a respected cartoonist, who worked for all the big magazines including the New Yorker and the New York Times Magazine. He is also know for a syndicated panel called These Women. In 1946 he did a series for Collier's on returning soldiers - which of course was collected in a book afterwards. His papers have been donated to the Syracuse University and seem like they are worth a visit.
