Over the last few weeks I have shown (almost) all of Jack Cole's Wun Clue gags. I hope these were enough to convince some publisher to do either all of Cole's Ralph John's work in one ook, or produce a series of five, one for each title.

Thanks for posting these Ger! I realize they are no PC but some great cartooning by Cole! Sign me up for copies if you can get somebody to compile a book of these! I'm still bummed Dc stopped with the Plastic Man archive series!

Lovely! I wonder if a publisher today might balk because of the racial stereotyping inherent in these gags. I dunno. Art Spiegelman and Chip Kidd ran a Wun Cloo in their Jack Cole book. BTW, the top two one-pagers in this blog are not by Cole, but rather another artist in the Quality stable -- I think it might have been Bart Tumey (no relation to me).
