Elmering Poeticly

Wednesday Advertising Day.

Elmer Wexler was on eof the imortant artists at comic advertising suppliers Johnstone and Cushing. I have shown his work a couple of times, but here are some random articfacts I found about him. First of, what seems to be a photo from his service years. After that an illustration he did later in life. Unlike most of his work for Johnstone and Cushing, it is signed. After that a couple of dailies from his strip Vic Jordan, which he did for PM Newspaper in 1942. A seller on ebay has some of these papers (always pretty expensive) and tearsheets (always a shame).
