Unfortunately there is no good complete list of Gene Colan's early work. Particularely his many stories for various Quality titles in undocumented and it surprises me every time how many he did for them (sometimes while working for Timely as well). Jim VandeBoncoeur knows, as is seen on the notes in the books from his collection. But they are just that, notes, and ogten have not made it to the various lists around. Here is a previously unknown Colan story from a book he lent to the Comic Book Museum te be scanned. It has the trademark Colan 'funny' figures (especially the males) and in some places you can see the unknown inker trying to make something of Colan's grey pencil work.
