Too Much To Bear

Tuesday Comic Strip Day.

I have been busy scanning over the holidays and this is one of the byproducts: a whole set of Yogi Bear Sundays from various days in the sixties. As a child, I read Yogi every week in a scholastic type magazine. For some reason this means I am not as interested in them these days as in some other strips from the same period (like the Flintstones). But I know the big bear has a lot of fans out there and for them I scan whatever I come across (with many more from the earliest years coming).

I wish someone would do a book of these. A lot of good artwork was done in the Hanna Barbera line.

Yeah, I can't see what's blocking it. A rights question maybe?

Ger Apeldoorn,

This selection of Yogi Bear Sunday pages, involves the artworks made not only by the legendary Harvey Eisenberg (the "Carl Barks from Hanna-Barbera"), as also the Sundays drawn by Jerry Eisenberg (who's the Harvey Eisenberg's son) and Pete Alvarado.
Alias, among the Yogi Bear Sundays drawn by Pete Alvarado in 1968, we have two of them which bring special appearances of a Hanna-Barbera classical character: Quick Draw McGraw!

Thanks Rodinei (is that your first name or should I just call you Rodney?)! I think I can just about pick out Eisenberg these days.
