In Your Face

Monday Cartoon Day.

George Clark started his daily panel Side Glances in 1929. Through a random enabya ad I found that he apparently did the same stuff larger for covers of a Sunday weekly called Everyweek Magazine. I caught the tail end in 1932/33 and now I have to go back to find when it strated. Clarke was a great artist. After he jumped syndicates he dropped Side Glances and started the same thing calling it The Neighbours. In the forties The Neighbours had a great Sunday strip, some of which I have shown here from color scans of my own.
