The Untimate Bad Guy

Friday Comic Book Day.

In the fifties, Adolf Hitler was an often seen character in war comics. But he was never better drawn than by Russ Heath. After the summer, I'll be selling all of my Timely/Atlas war comics on ebay with loads of great stories and art like this.

Russ Heath was good from the very beginning, and though he didn't care much for the work he did for Atlas, it was some of the best they had there.

I am not sure he didn't care for that work. He did a lot of recreations of his Atlas horror covers (I have a signed one from a visit). If he did, he bought into the bull the DC editors were sellin gto people like him,Mort Meskin and Gene Colan about Atlas being a lowrent publisher.
