When showing the cartoon work of some of my favorites, such as Dave Gerard, Roland Coe, Hank Ketcham and Virgil Partch, I have included some of their ads for Kellogs Wheaties. But this 'breakfast of champions' series actually included more cartoonists. It ran betwen 1945 and 1950 in all the major magazines, using all of their usual talent. It always struck me as odd taht Mort Walker never was involved. Maybe he came to late. Or was there a thord party involved that didn't like his work?
