Lessons To Be Learned

Friday Comic Book Day.

I am still selling my Timely/Atlas books on Ebay and I am pleased to note that this week the war books seem to be going quicker than the horror books. One of the reasons seems to be that those buyers that got a couple last time around, are coming back for more. And rightly so. In the later run of War Comics, which is up now, Stan Lee, Don Rico and their crew started telling stories about historical wars and figures. It started with WWII and Adolf Hitler, but soon they branched out to other historical subjects. A seperate study could be made of this very lifely and interesting subgenre.

War Comics 24: Joe Maneely on the Siegfried Line.

War Comics 25: Arthur Peddy on the start of WWII.

War Comics 25: Al Carrero on the British in India.

War Comics 25: Russ Heath on the battle of Dieppe.
