All in all the comic strip ads that ruled the Sunday sections in the forties and fifties disappeared in the sixties to make room for ads using photography. Every once in a while, they were still used, though. Here is a funny ad for Raid that looks as if it could have been drawn by later Madartist Paul Coker. That is not completely impossible, it would be some of his ealiest work. If there is anyone out there who is in a position to ask Mr. Coker, I would love to know.
