Nothing Up My Sleave

Wednesday Illustration Day.

When I was young, the Dutch kid's weekly Pep had a feature showing magic tricks with photo's. I always liked to see them, since they gave you the feeling you were in on the trick and that you were the only one. This 1947 Sunday strip uses the same effect. Although it is copyrighted to the King Features Syndicate, I could not find any reference to it, so maybe it is just a one off installment of Norman Lynd's Vignettes of Life. It sure looks like something like that.

This is "Simple Tricks - Secrets of Magic", the topper of "Alladin Jr.", by William Meade Prince (story) and Les Forgrave (drawings)
