With Headline #49, we are still in Mort Meskin's golden period, as far as I am concerned. John Vadebonceur Jr. suggests that George Roussos helped him out with the inking on these stories, but there is enough of the linework (similar to the linework we could see in the work he did with Jerry Robinson) to carry the weight of Roussos' sometimes overpowering blacks.
