Some time ago I shared a couple of pages from The Philidelphia Record's Fun Book. It's the eight page tabloid size comic that was wrapped around the similary oversized Spirit comic book in this, it's premiere paper. The gags and cartoons in these pages were drawn by a group of cartoonists, including Bil Keane (who went on to do The Family Circle and my favorite Sunday and daily gag panel Channel Chuckles). Some of the features he created here would later get their own Sunday series or be included as a feature in The Family Circle. At the same time I got the first issue, I bought two more, which I will be sharing these weeks.
