Inky Was A Pencilly As Well

Sunday Meskin Measures.

An intermezzo in my run of George Roussos' General Electric promotional comics. Roussos worked for every company possible (except maybe DC). Here are two stories from Hillman books, that are from the same period of the GE books I have been showing. You see he has a solid style if he wants, but also that the extra time (and money) he got for the GE books really helped.

Roussos did work for DC: "Air Wave," "Vigilante" and his uncredited work on many "Batman" stories.

Have you seen his work on the latest months of Judge Wright? I have them on the blog, but in less than perfect state. I wish someone, anyone, would turn up some clippings.

I've only seen the versions you posted. The curse of microfilming has made sure that many strips only exist in muddled, ugly versions--incredibly frustrating to comics historians!

First story looks to me like Manny Stallman had a hand in it.
