Friday Comic Book Day.
All of you guys who like drawing funny pictures, should have a look at Hillman's late forties kiddy book Punch and Judy. This story, for instance. Underneath the familiar cute style is an anrtist who really knows how to capture the moment. Even John Vadeboncoeur Jr. doesn't seem to be able to spot the artist. ~His identuty card at the Digital Comics Museum just syas " Scroll". But then againb, this may even have been early in his career as a master art spotter, because he also lists the artist of the last single page gag with a question mark - althugh it seems quit eobvious to me.

The BILLY BOY cartoonist is Steve Muffati, later the designer of Richie Rich, Lotta and Dot for Harvey.
He's really good, Milton.
