Wednesday Rock Day.
It has been suggested that the succes of Johnny Hart's B.C. was an influence in the creation of The Flintstones. Even if the timeline fits *B.C. started in December 1958), there had been other stone age families beforte that. Alley oop comes to mind, but that was not a funny strip. The was a strip called Rocky, by Milt Caniff's letterer Frnak Engli (see the link for samples), which is lesser known. But thios one was new to me. A 1953/55 daily panel by Clayton and Chick. Jack T. Chick was the creator of the so-called Chick Trackts of the sixties and the seventies. Some of the most scary evangelical comic books ever made. More on Chick, Clayton and the creation of this strip here; https://library.osu.edu/site/cartoons/2013/05/16/found-in-the-collection-jack-t-chicks-times-have-changed/
