The Second Lady Of Crime

Last Sunday I started with the serialized version of Patricia Wentworth's crime novel Nothing Ventured (on some websites mentioned as Nothing Ventured), which was offered to newspaper in August and September 1932 with ilustrations by their bullpen artist Milt Caniff (before he started his own adventure strip Dickie Dare, which led him to his most famous creation Terry and the Pirates). There are a few lines missing on chapter 4, but the story itself is easily picked up.

Sunday Leftover Day.
