Will-Yummie

Friday Comic Book Day.

As I said, I am very much drawn to the style of Dave Gerhard. His most succesful strip was Will-Yum which ran from somewhere in 1953 until 1966, according to some sources. The earliest sample I could find was from november 1954, but I am sure there are more out there. I was pleased to find that there also were three issues of a Dell comic book, which were completely drawn (and probably written) by Gerhard. Here he proofs he wasn't only a great cartoonist, but he could draw continuety as well.

Am I remembering wrong, or was there another strip named "Will-Yum" about a teenaged boy? I'd never seen this one before.

Will-Yum was a recurring character in Fred Neher panel "Life's like that".
