Have you seen my posts about Lou Fine's long running advertising strips for Philip Morris? I just replaced a black and white one from May 1950 for a color one. The whole post can be found using the tag to october 2010.
Forgive the public note, but I don't know how to contact you otherwise. I don't know if you follow this blog...he just posted an interesting selection of comics- and cartoon-style ads from old American magazines.
hi Ger, Thank you so much for all the great stuff you post. I really like Fine's later work such as this example. Will ther be any more Adam Ames strips posted in the near future?
The Adam Ames I did were provided by a rehular on one of the groups I visit and although I would love to show some more, there are a few other strips waiting as well. Picking these runs is quite a timeconsuming job, especially when they come from a time hen the average storyline ran for three months.
I am a Dutch television writer, who has written about comics and television for a number of publications here in Holland and in the US. I love hearing from (forgotten) artists and/or their relatives, so if you are one of those and happen upon this blog, please leave a note.
