Sunday Meskin Measures.
In this early story from Young Love #13 we see Mort Meskin still struggling to find the balance between dynamic and stylish. Not helped by the clunkish inking of George Rousses, he does get the mood right in some panels, but others seem teribly off. Like the figure of the guy in the splash. His face is not lined up the right way and his right hand seems far too big to me. Faces are too often only hinted at, such as in the figures kissing on the first panel of page three or the the oddly looking away face of the guy on panel five of the last page. Let's call it interesting study material and leave it at that.
