It Pays To Advertise

Wednesday Advertising Day.

I don't know how many Camels ads I have shown here, but there are always more. And they started earlier than most long running ad series. here are two samples from 1941, where they were already using the new realistic style that would be feature all through to 1954 at least. Of course Camels wasn't they only brand from the Reynolds Tobacco company. They used comic strip ads for all of their brands, from Philip Morris to Prince Albert pipe tobacco. I recently used their website to ask their publicity representative f they could have a look in the files if anything remains from their years of active sponsors of this important part of American history, but until now no one has answered yet. So if you know any tobacco millionairs, please draw their attention to my blog.
