Sausage Man

Saturday Leftover Day.

I have been quite busy these days with new plans. To catch up I have decided to show you something in Dutch. This is a four page biography of my life and work in television and comics done by the Dutch Comic Book Artist of the Country. Margreet de heer has been voted into that position last year to try and promote Dutch comics and comics awareness. She herself has done a couple of scientific primers in comic book style on subjects such as Love, Science and Faith. A couple of these have been published in the US by Fantagraphics and I highly recommend them.

This four page strip was done for my upcoming 60th birthday, but when it was announced that I am to be awarded the Hans P. Frankfurther Award for contributions to the comic book community it was tailored to that and released earlier (as a surprise to me). I know it's in Dutch, but it is about the best portrait of me and my work I have ever seen and the best interview I have given anywhere.

Ziet er mooi uit en ik wist niet dat je zoveel TV-series hebt geschreven! Leuk verjaardagscadeau!
